Vision for Villages — Mobile Eye Clinic Initiative
Bringing the gift of sight to thousands in Sri Lanka's most underserved regions.
A specialized vision care project targeting remote, low-income farming communities in the Ampara District, Sri Lanka. Due to heavy poverty and a lack of localized medical facilities, thousands of impoverished elders and daily-wage farmers suffer from uncorrected vision impairment — severely hindering their daily survival. Our goal is to conduct mass screening camps and distribute 5,000 custom prescription eyeglasses completely free of charge, and to secure a Mobile Eye Clinic Van capable of transporting ophthalmic equipment and medical doctors directly into deep rural pockets on a weekly basis.
